These are the terms for using this website, booking through it and sending us a form. They cover the website only. The consent forms you sign at the center before a treatment are separate, and apply as well.
By visiting or using this website, booking an appointment through it, or submitting any form on it, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to the website only; the consent forms you sign at the center before a treatment are separate and are in addition to them.
North Shore Laser Center (“NSLC,” “we,” “us”) is a laser and aesthetics practice located at 28 Goodhue St., Suite 4C, Salem, Massachusetts. Our services include laser treatments, aesthetic services, and other services listed on this site, which may change from time to time. Treatments are provided by our trained team under the supervision of our medical director.
Everything on this website, including text, images, videos, blog posts, and answers to common questions, is general information about our services. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for the advice of your own physician or other qualified health professional. Never ignore or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
Using this site, emailing us, or submitting a contact or interest form does not create a client or provider relationship with NSLC. That relationship begins only when you have been seen in person, completed our intake and consent paperwork, and we have agreed to provide you a service. We cannot give treatment recommendations over the website, email, or text.
Treatment outcomes depend on many individual factors, including skin type, medical history, medications, the area treated, and how well you follow aftercare instructions. Before-and-after photos, testimonials, and descriptions of results on this site reflect individual experiences and are not a promise or guarantee that you will get the same or any result. Most treatments require several sessions to reach the desired result, and results often need repeat or maintenance treatments over time. How often you need them can change with the season, medications, hormonal changes, and other shifts in your health or skin. Some people do not respond to a treatment at all.
Your first visit is a conversation, where we talk through your goals and health history and decide together whether a treatment is appropriate. We may decline or postpone any service if we believe it is not safe or suitable for you, and a conversation does not obligate you or us to proceed.
Laser, microneedling, and other aesthetic treatments carry risks, which can include redness, swelling, blistering, burns, changes in skin color, scarring, infection, and results that fall short of what you hoped for. These risks and the specific precautions for your treatment are explained in the consent form you will review and sign at the center before any service. Nothing on this website replaces that process. You are responsible for telling us about any medical condition, medication, allergy, pregnancy, recent sun exposure, or prior treatment that could affect your care, and for following all pre- and post-treatment instructions. We cannot treat clients with an autoimmune diagnosis, such as lupus, for any of our treatments.
To the fullest extent permitted by Massachusetts law, you acknowledge that you voluntarily choose to receive services from NSLC, that you understand the risks described in your consent forms, and that you accept those risks. You release NSLC, its owner, employees, and contractors, and its medical director, from claims arising from the known and inherent risks of the services you receive, and from your use of this website. This release does not apply to harm caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct, and it does not limit any right you have under law that cannot be waived.
This website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the site, including that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or free of errors or harmful components. We do not guarantee any treatment result.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NSLC and its owner, employees, contractors, and medical director are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content. For any claim connected to this website, our total liability will not exceed $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to defend and hold harmless NSLC and its owner, employees, contractors, and medical director from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees that result from your misuse of this website, your violation of these terms, or inaccurate or incomplete information you give us.
The content on this site, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and design, belongs to NSLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your personal use. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or use our content commercially without our written permission.
Email, text messages, and online forms are not secure or private in the way an in-person conversation is, and they are not monitored around the clock. Please do not send sensitive health details or urgent medical concerns through them. Contact us by phone or call 911 in an emergency. If you give us your mobile number, you agree we may send appointment reminders and service messages by text, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Our site may link to or use outside services, such as Square, which runs our online booking and payments. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
How we collect, use, and protect your personal and health information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using this site you also agree to that policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute connected to this website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Essex County, Massachusetts, and you consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.
We may update these terms at any time by posting the new version on this page with a new date. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with any consent forms you sign at the center, are the entire agreement between you and NSLC about the website. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
