An industry-leading laser system trusted by dermatologists and aestheticians around the world, and the workhorse of this practice. Two wavelengths — a 755nm Alexandrite and a 1064nm Nd:YAG — with multiple spot sizes and variable pulse duration, which is how one device treats hair, vessels and pigment on every skin type safely.
What it is, and why we chose it.
The GentleMax Pro™ delivers an intense beam of light through a small handpiece. The skin absorbs the light and converts it to heat, and the target — a hair follicle, a vessel, a patch of pigment — takes the heat and lets go. The surface of the skin is not damaged.
Two wavelengths matter because skin is not one color. The Alexandrite is fast and precise on lighter skin; the Nd:YAG passes safely through darker skin to reach the target underneath. Multiple spot sizes and pulse durations mean the settings are tuned to you, and the cooling spray fires a fraction of a second before each pulse, which is why people tolerate it so well.

Why this laser and not another?
Because two wavelengths in one machine means every skin type is treated safely with the right one, and because Candela's cooling makes the treatment tolerable without numbing. It is also fast, which matters when the area is a full back.

Yes. The GentleMax Pro™ series is FDA-cleared for hair removal and for vascular and pigmented lesions.
